June - August

Summertime in Taiwan is hot and humid, especially in the sub-tropical south, with average temperatures in the high 80`s to 90`s with high humidity and frequent afternoon thunderstorms. This time of year is also high season with lots of visitors, making accommodations and attractions crowded and expensive.

Typhoon season is in effect on the southeast coast so travelers should be sure to check the weather before traveling. The tropical north is more bearable this time of year and a better place to be if you are hit with a thunderstorm. The cities provide indoor attractions which are best enjoyed during the summer months. June is the wettest month of the year and July and August are the hottest months.
